Well, here I am after my first blog post. I haven't been out much lately because of the dizzy spells I get but yesterday was an exception. In spite the cold weather, me and my sister went to the nearest grocery to buy some stuff which I will be using to bake some chocolate crinkles. Their school will be sponsoring a mass for all the grandparents and after which they will have a morning tea at the library together with the parents and the grandparents.
I haven't been visible also to their fundraising events so I thought of baking some goodies as my way of contributing. I have only baked these chocolate crinkles once in my entire life and that was when I was still in my culinary class with the supervision of our great chefs. And right now, I'm crossing my fingers that this will turn out okay if not great. :)
I used two recipes for this one...just to make sure that I have at least one that will taste good. After an hour of whisking and beating....and another three hours to let the batter rest in the ref... I started baking it in the oven. Was so anxious how they will turn out that I spent a lot of time peeping inside the oven....afraid I might get them over baked like the last time I did with the chocolate molten lava.
Well, turns out I did a fine good job ! The crinkles tasted great . Crumbly outside but soft and chewy inside. My kids love it that they keep coming and asking for more. I had to constantly remind them that they will be bringing it to school the following day.... :)
Happy for my sweet victory on my choco crinkles. Excited at how it will fare with the kids at school tomorrow. :)
